CHARGE and be a FORCE

My whole life I have heard terms and sayings like opposites attract. I have also heard that birds of a feather flock together, or I can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep, like actions reap like results, and your actions will determine your circumstance.
I observe and ponder about similarities and opposites, positives and negatives and its relevance. I was asked years ago “what is the opposite of Love?” I ask you what is the opposite of Love?……….Naturally if we are anything alike we responded to that question with the answer of Hate. My mentor then suggested, that is the incorrect answer. I further wondered what the answer may be before he revealed the answer was indifference. He then explained why; the reason Love and hate are not opposite is due to the fact they are both emotions. The opposite of Love would be indifference due to the fact indifference is the lack of emotion about any person, place or condition. The people that you may love or hate you have a strong passion for, whatever the reason may be. Someone you are indifferent about you give virtually no thought because they mean nothing to you, you feel nothing for them.
Love and Hate are great examples of why perception is so important and why relativity is a factor that can be world changing.
From the time we are young we have learned about opposites, the first being positive and negatives. We were given a magnet with a North and South end (positive and a negative). Then we learned about charges and which will connect and which will repel. Positives attract the negatives (opposites attract).
I like to apply lessons and practical sayings to life and what example of opposites attracting are more displayed other than the attraction between men and women? Life has taught me that you will find what you are looking for and how you perceive an event is an individual learning experience for all. Two people can view the same event in opposite lights and can mean two totally different things depending on the individual. OJ Simpson case is a clear example of how a nation can view the same event in conflicting views. One group of people viewed the event as an injustice, others as justice long deserved. When we look as men at women and women at men we always notice and point out the differences, but like anything in life there are similarities and sometimes more similarities than one will like to accept or realize, because to accept that realization is to accept something about oneself. Whether positive or negative, just like the magnet given to you when you were a kid in science class you were given one bar with two ends. Men and women are both Human beings of opposite expression. Love and Hate are both emotions, virtually the same emotion, the difference lies in how it is expressed. The positive expression being love and the negative being hate. That is why it is so easy for a negative event between two people who love one another will stir up so much hate; and opposite to that, two people that hate each other, when they find understanding for each other will Love each other like no one else because the passion was always present.
Relativity perception makes the difference between the star and the pauper. Two people can be from the same place but the expression of their current lives can be totally different. One reason for such outcomes is due to the way the two individuals perceived their situation (time, place and circumstance). If we choose to view situation or circumstance as positive or negative we will treat it accordingly. A situation that may be viewed as a misfortune can be viewed as a blessing…Always, it is our choice.
Whether opposites attract or like attracts like, again it makes no difference. The realization I made is we all attract whether like or opposite. We have the power to be both and express both. We are the magnet with both positive and negative charges and we possess the charges of both ends. The negative or positive is our choice of interpretation and expression. I remembered when I used to take a magnet and rub it against a neutral metal object and watch the charge rub off and share the ability. We too do it all. We too can be rubbed on and influenced, question being what charges and what kind of things are rubbing off on you. But, the ultimate question always is and always will be what are you attracting, what force do you portray, how do you affect others. A man cannot directly choose his circumstance, but a man can choose his thoughts which indirectly and always will affect his charge (+,-) of expression and his circumstance. You are what you think about most of the time!
