Alive?

The way one associates certain words with themselves can define the life they live. The dictionary exists because we have defined many words in our particular language. Now that words have been defined we find ways to use those words to define ourselves. We pick all the relevant adjectives to define ourselves; whether they are negative or positive, we all find words we associate ourselves with.

For a period of time I misconceived the meaning of what it meant to be alive. Every day I woke up and fell asleep; but, to speak from where I stand today, I know I was very far from alive. To be alive takes more than just simple breathing, blinking and eating throughout the day. Humans are humans because we have desires and choices in relation to our own future, which allows us to progress and grow in life. ”We accomplish goals, and our essence changes with experience.”
