We often place emphasis on our lives when thinking about who we are. The world has a way of influencing these thoughts. When we realize who we are and take ownership for what we want, what we are told will mean a lot less. Life tells us to be realistic, be conventional, be safe and avoid risk. My question is: if we follow that plan how can we become leaders, stand out or ever attain a dream that was conceived before we learned about a college major or a salary paid job title?
Albert Einstein says, “ The one who follows the crown will usually get no further than the crowd. The one who walks alone, is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been.” Dreams are only dreams because they are not realistic. To chase them you cannot be conventional or safe. You will face many risk in the pursuit.
To truly be one of a kind while living a life following a plan that is followed by the general population is not realistic. To be noticed one cannot be conventional. And facing risk and challenges will aid in the growth needed to find out who you truly can be.
