On the Road from Main Street to High Street pt. 1

I take time to reminisce on my time spent with former friends who lived on Front Street. I even think in awe, of some of the experiences I’ve had on Front Street. The people I met, the relationships I had, and the experiences that took place on Front Street.
Being a person from Main Street, my time on Front Street made me appreciate the values I developed from home. Main Street is a very broad street where the majority of the population dwells. The values are fair, the people are similar, and the frame of thinking is parallel. When traveling, they stay in their lane and most disagreements occur when people get out of their lane.
I have seen and met amazing people on Main Street. I have also visited beautiful homes and what I find most interesting is regardless of how amazing some of these people are, they do their best to be like their neighbors and fit in. Their special and unique belongings are hidden in their homes where people visit least; they are selective with whom they invite into their homes, and even more discriminatory with who they allow in particular rooms. I find it extremely mind-blowing how much work is put in, to fit in.
People on Front Street spend their whole existence trying to emulate the look of someone who lives on high street, often to the sacrifice of their own moral values, which creates insecurity and depression. Folks on Main Street sacrifice their moral values to do the opposite. They are cordial with their neighbors on Front and High Street but fear often limits their association.
I have lived my life on Main Street. I have been intrigued by Front Street and I am in the process of moving to High Street. This is a very tough transition. Many have transitioned to other streets. To move, live, and remain on high street comes with the reality most of Main Street live in fear of.
The fear of standing out, being misunderstood, and even hated is the toughest part about moving. I have done my research and choose to speak with those who live on high street and I have realized many things. The path to living there is exclusive to the individual; their values and associations evolve. They are committed to having things work out, and rarely concerned with how things look. In do so, giving things up was never a problem in the pursuit of receiving what they need, and hesitation is a concept defeated. Although the values are alike, everyone looks different, and their way of living is unique. All Beautiful. Some choose to be meek, some live lavish, and both give back to all who welcome them.
