Time…The Greatest Myth

The greatest myth in life is time. Does it work with or against you? Does time kill or heal. We learn and hear a lot about this thing they call time. We all make sure we are on time (or try to be colored folk), the hard workers work for time, the lazy let is pass by. Some measure certain standards by time. Some live life by the scale of time. We are concerned on where someone should be at a certain place, and at certain ages; which are other measures of time. We also have schools and grade systems we move with. We should enter and leave higher education institutions within a certain time. We should work for a certain amount of time and retire by a certain age. Our calendars for life have been set and we should move within these confinements.
Now how do we view the people who don’t move with the preconceived layout of this time table? Or how does it feel when you are not moving with this layout of time? At a point in time it happens to us all when we do not seem to move with the time that we feel have been set out for us. We have to work with or for time, correct?
I have heard that “patience is a virtue.” When I apply that aphorism to time or conditions I realize that time lies within us. “Walk to the beat of your own drum.” We all have a pulse that allows us to feel the beat of our heart throughout our body. The heart beats and allows blood to Flow through our body. The Beat of our heart creates our flow. We should follow the beat of our own drum. I have also heard the saying, follow your heart! They sound alike to me. When we follow our heart, we live in our flow. When we live in our flow we will end up where will want to be…ALWAYS.
Patience is virtue; when mastered keeps time in perspective for us. When we follow our heart (the beat to our own drum), and move at our own pace, and live in our flow, everything that happens to and for us will always fall within our time. When we truly believe; stress, due to what seems to be untimely events will no longer be viewed negatively, and it will be accepted. We will now realize time works for us. Time is for our disposal. Time is simply a measurement of our perception.

¡Namaskar!

  1. I agree to a certain extent, follow your own drum, but at the same time I feel some goals surrounded by a time limit (self enforced) helps keep you productive and focused.

    1. If the goals with time limits are set by you then you are still moving to your own beat on your own time
