Perfect has been given and presented to us as a concept that can be conceptualized in the mind but never attained in physical reality. I analyze what perfect means and I know that perfection is highly attainable if we redefine what the concept means. Perfect in the dictionary is defined, “exactly fitting the need in a certain situation or for a certain purpose.”
The definition given is wonderful when the proper application of concept is applied. I have been victim to growing up with the understanding that perfect is an optimal state of flawless living. Although that may not be incorrect in what perfect is it provides a standard that we cannot reach or stand in for long. I now realize perfection is a concept that should only be thought for as a NOW concept.
Think of the power of living in the moment. True happiness, bliss, anger and sadness live in the present moment. We can do our best to recreate those feelings in memory or imagination but the feelings are only expressed in the present moment. Perfection is no different.
Perfection is highly attainable to us all if we first learn what it is. Perfection is fitting a need for a specific purpose at that specific time. What we need for every moment of every day is already created for us to access when we are ready and willing. When traveling there are many ways for us to get from one point to the next, but we do not use an airplane to go food shopping, nor do we drive an automobile from one island to the next. Both modes of travel are perfect when applied in the right situation.
An athlete or performer trains to be the best they can be with the concept of perfection in back of their minds. Perfection being something to strive for but never to attain, only because they know mistakes will always be made ending what they believe perfect is; flawless and unblemished. I believe if the athlete or performer strives to be perfect in every moment of every performance success will greatly improve because that is a goal we all have access to. Many mistakes we all know have been witnessed and appreciated as a greater moment than one could ever plan. The lessons a college professor teaches is not perfect for a 1st grade classroom, and the philosophy of the greatest coach may not be fit for our greatest scientist.
We all learn what works best for us when we are striving for a greater feeling. We all want to be the best we can be in every moment we are apart of, but we fall short due to the conflicts we create in ourselves of not being “perfect” all of the time. We all have numerous roles to play in life, and many people to serve. Learn how to be present in the moment at that moment and give 100 percent of your dedication and attention within that moment and it is guaranteed that you will be perfect for that moment; and if not you will learn what you need to be perfect for a similar situation next time you engage in that moment.
We have all been apart of situations that turned out perfect because of your presence and actions. Be aware, that moment is gone and many perfect situations are present NOW for you to be apart of. Embrace reality knowing it is the fantasy we all seek. Luck is only given to the prepared. Perfection is only experienced in the present.
