March Madness

If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the moment. I remember the words of Lao Tzu as I begin this new month of April. Chaos is defined as a state of utter confusion or disorder; a total lack of organization or order. The feeling we have in the moments of the unknown, bring up feelings of fear, anxiety or the feeling of being unsettled. Life has a way of making us depressed or anxious because we often miss the gift of what is.
Children looking forward to their birthdays, students looking forward to graduation, women who know their significant others are ready to ask for their hand in marriage, also have them in a state of anxiety, only this time it is rooted in excitement. When we don’t live in our expected reality we blame ourselves for our past depressing ourselves.
Before our greatest moment we enter a space where we are in search for peace. We find that peace when we lose ourselves in moments that put us in euphoria. We are in a state of happiness and self confidence when we change the concept of comparison.
We want joy due to pain. We appreciate the sun after rain. We know madness because of harmony. In the previous three sentences if we replace want, appreciate and know with love, how does that change your perception of contrast? Don’t we as people love March Madness.
